METHODS TO APPLY
Tumbler or Mug Press Method
- Set your tumbler or mug press to 190deg (note some mug press may vary, our temp and time is what works for us).
- Always put a blank mug in to the press while it is heating up
- Prepare and secure a mug with your sublimation print, securing with heat tape.
- To protect your press wrap silicone paper around the mug as well
- Press for 240sec
- Remove mug using heat resistant gloves.
- For best results leave mug to cool before removing the print
- Preheat oven on 180 for 15min.
- Place a tray in the middle with silicone paper
- Prepare and secure a mug with your sublimation print, securing with heat tape.
- Clamp silicone wrap to mug
- Place in preheat oven with mug upside down.
- Set timer for 12min
- Remove mug using heat resistant gloves.
- For best results leave mug to cool before removing the print
Note that its best to use a convection oven. All ovens differ so test yours to see what works best for you. The more mugs you do in the oven the longer you need to leave them for e.g. If 12min for one do a minute longer for 2. It’s like baking a cake. The bigger the cake the longer it must stay in, for the batter to bake However test to see what works for you.
