Price range: R102.49 through R388.48 (incl. VAT)

Our Gypsogem Eco Resin is conveniently packaged in foil bags and comes in an array of sizes—1kg, 2.5kg, and 5kg for WHITE, catering to various project dimensions, from compact trinket trays to substantial decorative items. We have introduced a 10kg white in a bucket (available on its own menu). This environmentally friendly resin powder is blended with water, distinguishing it from conventional resins that rely on chemical additives for mixing. Crafted for simplicity, security, and adaptability, it supports a diverse range of artistic endeavors.

Gypsogem Eco Resin stands out as a dynamic and sustainable alternative to traditional materials such as plaster and cement, providing artists and designers with an eco-conscious choice for their creations. Similar to Jesmonite and M1 (Material One), which are widely used for decorative casting and architectural applications, Gypsogem offers a versatile and eco-friendly solution without requiring chemical additives. Unlike many other casting materials, Gypsogem Eco Resin is pure white, completely bubble-free, and cures to a smooth, marble-like finish, ensuring a flawless and refined final product. Its innovative composition supports an extensive range of artistic expressions, from crafting intricate trinket trays to sturdy jars ideal for candle making. With its versatile nature, artisans can push creative boundaries without sacrificing environmental responsibility. Gypsogem Eco Resin’s compatibility with epoxy further enhances its functionality, enabling the formation of composite materials that result in even more detailed and durable masterpieces.

The resin cures in approximately 15 to 20 minutes, though colder temperatures may slightly extend the curing time. On warmer days, pieces are ready to demould swiftly, making the process more efficient. However, care should be taken when working with intricate or delicate mould designs—pulling too quickly may lead to breakage. For highly detailed moulds, it’s best to allow extra curing time to ensure strength and prevent any fragile elements from snapping off. Patience is key when demoulding something delicate and beautifully detailed.

For those seeking enhanced durability, our RESIN HARDENER is available, perfect for reinforcing structures or ensuring candle jars remain completely sealed. Applying a hardener is a critical step in preventing wax leakage when candles melt. It fortifies the jar’s material, maintaining its impermeability to hold the wax securely. Since heat from a burning candle can liquefy wax, increasing the potential for seepage, using a hardener creates a more resilient and dependable container, improving the overall safety and quality of the final product.

For those wanting a pre-died black we offer this in 2.5kg. The BLACK Gypsogem Eco Resin powder delivers a deep, true black, making it ideal for bold, striking designs. However, it can be slightly messy during handling and may stain moulds. Thankfully, any residue is easy to clean with warm, soapy water or a gentle mould cleaner, ensuring a hassle-free experience while working with the material. It also behaves differently during mixing—expect it to start off lumpy and bumpy, but don’t be alarmed! As you continue stirring, it smooths out and becomes more workable. While we’ve provided a general mixing ratio, the black resin may need a touch more liquid to achieve the best consistency. Trust your judgment and aim for a smooth, runny flow for optimal results.

Our Gypsogem powder follows a mixing ratio of 3:1 AB or 100:33 AB by weight when using the water method. However, for precise details and best practices, we have an extensive technical sheet available for download below, ensuring users have all the information they need for optimal results.
