Our 1.5kg Combo includes 1kg Gypsogem Eco Resin with 500ml hardener, making it a great starter set for beginners and makers who want a simple, reliable, and versatile option for a wide range of projects.
It is ideal for reinforcing pieces and is highly recommended for candle jars, as it helps prevent wax seepage once the candle is in use. When candles burn, the wax becomes fully liquid, which increases the chance of leakage if the vessel is not properly sealed. Using a hardener helps create a stronger, more dependable, and more impermeable finished piece.
Gypsogem Eco Resin is a versatile and eco-conscious alternative to traditional casting materials such as plaster and cement. Similar to decorative casting systems like Jesmonite, it offers makers and designers a dependable option for creative applications, without the need for chemical additives. Gypsogem Eco Resin is pure white, bubble-free, and cures to a smooth, marble-like finish, giving your final pieces a refined and professional appearance. It is suitable for a wide variety of creations, from trinket trays and décor pieces to functional jars for candle making. It can also be combined with epoxy in mixed-media applications for more detailed and durable results.
Curing time is usually around 15 to 20 minutes, but this can vary depending on what has been mixed with the powder. Additives such as pigments may affect the curing speed, and weather conditions also play a role. Cooler temperatures can slow the curing process, while warmer conditions may help pieces set faster. Because of this, curing and demoulding times should always be judged by the mix and the environment on the day. More intricate or delicate moulds should be left a little longer before demoulding to reduce the risk of breakage and to allow the piece to gain enough strength.
The finished result has a sleek, slightly semi-gloss appearance that adds a polished and elegant touch to your creations.
Notes:-
- This formula is best suited to clean white finishes and softer decorative effects. Because of its white base composition, colour results can vary depending on the type and amount of pigment used. Heavier pigment loading is often needed to achieve stronger colour, which may sometimes lead to slight variation or patchiness in the finished piece. For this reason, this product is especially well suited to pure white pieces, subtle tones, and marble-style effects, which often produce the most natural and attractive results. Deep, rich solid colours can be more challenging to achieve, and some shades, such as red, may appear softer or take on pinker tones depending on the colourant used. If you are looking for solid and truer colours, our Gypsogem Eco Resin Premium works beautifully with our Gypso Pigment, 50ml Water-based High Concentration Pigment (30 Colours) and Gypso Pigment, 50ml Water-based High Concentration NEON Pigment (12 Colours) gives far more consistent colour results.
