Subli Lux
Overview
Subli Lux is an outstanding medium for creating vibrant, full-color images. Crafted from 2mm thick white plastic, it maintains its brilliance throughout the sublimation process—never turning matte—and supports sublimation on both sides. Mastering Subli Lux elevates your projects with an ultra-bright, stunning finish.
How to Use Subli Lux
1. Preparation
- Remove the protective film from both sides of the Subli Lux blank.
- This film prevents scratches and damage before use.
2. Testing Pressure
- Test your heat press pressure before applying heat.
- Use light to medium pressure—avoid firm pressure to prevent damage.
3. Heat Press Setup
- Preheat your heat press to 180°C.
- Cover the bottom platen with silicone paper to protect against unwanted transfers.
4. Design Alignment
- Place your mirrored design face down onto one white side of the Subli Lux.
- Secure with heat-resistant tape, ensuring tape does not touch the blank (to avoid marks).
5. Heat Application
- Press for 60–80 seconds at 180°C.
6. Post-Press Handling
- Handle carefully—the blank will be hot.
- Use silicone paper to move it onto a smooth, non-textured surface for cooling.
7. Cooling and Finishing
- Remove the top silicone paper and design.
- Place silicone paper back over the blank and add weight on top to flatten it evenly.
- This ensures the Subli Lux cools down straight and flat.
8. Revealing Your Design
- Once cooled, remove the paper and admire your vibrant, glossy result.
Pro Tips
- Always mirror your image before printing.
- Keep pressure light to avoid warping.
- Cooling under weight ensures a perfectly flat finish
