Sublimation Bible Bag – Heat Press Guide

Recommended Heat Press Settings

  1. Temperature: 185°C
  2. Time: 45–50 seconds
  3. Pressure: Light to medium
  4. Pre-press: 3–5 seconds
  5. Material: Polyester

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use a pressing pillow: Place a pressing pillow inside the bag to create a smooth, even surface for printing.
  2. Protect the fabric: Use protective paper above and below your sublimation design to prevent unwanted ink transfer.
  3. Avoid the black edging: Keep the black fabric, zips and seams away from direct heat to prevent damage or melting.
  4. Remove moisture: Pre-press the white polyester panel for 3–5 seconds to remove excess moisture and wrinkles.
  5. Secure your design: Use heat-resistant tape to keep your sublimation paper in place and prevent ghosting.
  6. Leave space around the edges: Avoid printing too close to the stitching or seams, as this may cause uneven transfers.
  7. Use gentle pressure: Excessive pressure can leave marks or shiny patches on polyester fabric.
  8. Remove the transfer carefully: Lift the sublimation paper without sliding it across the fabric to avoid blurry prints.
  9. Allow to cool: Let the bag cool naturally before folding, handling or packaging.
  10. Always test first: Heat press settings may vary depending on the polyester material, coating and heat press machine.

Important: For best results, start at 185°C for 50 seconds with light-to-medium pressure. Always test a small area first to ensure the material is suitable for sublimation and can withstand the heat.
