Tips
When working with our Vibrant Candle Dye Essence, it’s crucial to carefully measure the amount you add to your wax to achieve vibrant, beautiful colors without compromising performance. Our dye is highly concentrated, so we recommend a percentage-based guideline. For a medium-intensity color, aim for roughly 0.05% dye by weight of your wax.
For example, if you’re working with 500 grams of wax, 0.05% equates to about 0.25 grams of dye. In liquid form, this generally translates to approximately 7–8 drops, though the exact drop count may vary depending on the dye’s density and formulation. If you’re looking for deeper, richer hues, you can gradually increase the dosage up to around 0.1%—but always proceed incrementally.
Adding the dye slowly and testing as you go ensures that the wax’s natural properties remain intact, resulting in an even blend and optimal burning performance. This approach not only prevents over-saturation but also grants you full control over the vibrancy of your final creation.
Please note that these guidelines are provided as helpful tips to assist you in experimenting with your candle colours and achieving the desired results. They may not represent the best practice for every type of wax or candle-making scenario. Always perform small tests and adjust according to your specific materials and desired effect to maintain the wax’s optimal performance and quality.
