Cutting recommendations :-
- Explore Air 2 = Vinyl/iron on Pressure 230
- Maker – holographic, pressure 185
- Cameo 4 – Blade depth 3, Speed 5, Force 15. Material Heat transfer
Note prior to cutting your main design, always do a test cut to ensure the settings are correct, if not adjust accordingly.
HEAT PRESS METHOD
- Mirror your design
- Place the HTV on your cutting mat, gloss side down (pretty side facing down)
- Adjust your settings according to your cutting machine
- Once cut you can weed according to your design
- Heat your press up 150deg to 160deg
- Prepare you textile onto your heat press
- Place the weeded HTV with the pretty side facing up onto your textile. Cover with silicone paper
- Press for 15sec at heavy pressure
- Wait for the vinyl to COOL and gently peel off backing after few minutes
- Place silicone paper over design and give a final press for about 5-10sec
- After project is done wait 48 hours before washing.
IRON METHOD
- Don’t use steam method
- Disperse the iron’s heat evenly. Be sure to consistently apply pressure so the complete image is fully attached and prevent scorching the paper and cracking the image.
- Wait for the vinyl to COOL and gently peel off backing after few minutes
- Place silicone paper over design and give a final press for about 5 sec remember to apply consistent pressure
- After project is done wait 48 hours before washing.
