Sublimation Pressing Instructions
- Preheat your flat heat press to 180°C.
- Use a lint roller over the surface of the pillow box to remove any dust, fluff or loose fibres that could affect the finished print.
- Position your sublimation transfer carefully and secure it with heat-resistant tape to prevent movement during pressing.
- Cover the pillow box with a clean sheet of silicone paper to protect the surface and help prevent scorching or transfer onto the heat press.
- Set the press to 180°C for 60 seconds using medium pressure.
- Before pressing a full batch, we recommend doing a test press to confirm that the heat and pressure are suitable and evenly distributed.
- Once pressing is complete, carefully lift the press and remove the transfer paper while taking care, as the box and paper will be very hot.
- Allow the pillow box to cool before folding and assembling it.
- Avoid over-pressing, as excessive heat or time may cause the white surface to yellow or discolour.
Please Note: Heat presses can vary. We recommend testing one pillow box first and adjusting the time, temperature or pressure slightly if required.
