HOW TO BRAND
-
- Heat Press: Set the heat press to 160°C and press for 80 seconds with medium pressure.
- Middle Part: Place a strip of cardboard or pieces of material in the middle part (where you fold) to assist with pressure and avoid ghosting or opt for our 1mm MDF strip.
- Align Artwork: Align your sublimation artwork on top of the white area, which must be face up.
- Silicone Paper: Place silicone paper on top of the artwork before pressing to protect the item and your heat press from dye migration.
- Remove Print: Once pressed, carefully remove the print (remember, it’s hot).
- Cool and Fold: Allow the item to cool, then fold it in half.
- Insert Passport: Place your passport inside and secure it with the provided elastic.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
- Adjust Heat Press Settings: Note that all heat presses are different, so adjust the settings accordingly if you know your heat press tends to run colder or hotter than normal.
- Test First: It’s always a good idea to do a test press on a similar material to ensure the settings are correct and to avoid any mistakes on your final product.
- Monitor Pressure: Ensure that the pressure is evenly distributed across the entire surface to prevent any uneven sublimation or ghosting.
- Use Protective Gear: Always use protective gloves when handling hot items to avoid burns.
These steps ensure a smooth and successful branding process, resulting in a beautifully personalised passport holder.
