Sublimation Guide for PU Leather Notebooks
Printing Parameters
- Temperature: 160°C
- Time: 80 seconds
- Pressure: Firm to heavy
Preparation Tips for Best Results
- Raise the seam: To ensure an even print across the entire cover, place a piece of cardboard underneath the inner seam on the left side of the notebook. This helps level the surface and prevents uneven pressure during pressing.
- Protect your design: Always use silicone paper between the heat press and your printed design. This prevents ink transfer and protects both the notebook and your press.
- Avoid tape marks: Do not apply heat tape directly onto the printed paper, especially over design areas. It can leave shiny marks or impressions on the PU surface. If you need to secure the paper, tape the edges or use heat-resistant magnets or clips where possible.
- Check alignment: Make sure your design is properly aligned before pressing. PU leather is forgiving, but misalignment can be hard to correct once pressed.
After Pressing
- Allow the notebook to cool before handling. The PU leather may feel soft immediately after pressing but will firm up as it cools.
- Wipe down gently with a damp cloth if needed — PU leather is easy to clean and built for everyday use.
