Step-by-step process for sublimating PU leather jewelry boxes:
- Set the Heat Press: Adjust your heat press to 160°C and set the timer for 80 seconds
- Test Pressure: Apply medium to firm pressure to ensure a proper transfer of the design onto the leather.
- Protect the Surface: Cover the PU leather piece with silicone paper to prevent direct contact between the heat press and the substrate. This helps protect the material from scorching.
- Secure Your Design: Align your sublimation design correctly on the PU leather top. Use heat-resistant tape if necessary to keep the transfer in place.
- Remove and Cool Down: After 80 seconds, carefully remove the PU leather piece from the press. Let it cool down before adhering it to the jewelry box
- Assembling to the jewelry box : Use the 3m provided to secure to the back of the PU leather piece you just pressed then secure to the top of the jewellery box
Heat presses can vary in performance depending on factors like brand, model, and even environmental conditions. The 160°C for 80 seconds recommendation serves as a good baseline, but adjusting settings based on your specific heat press and materials is always a smart move.
