How to press me:

Sure thing! Here are the step-by-step instructions for sublimating PU leather, with a note about the inner seams:

1. Prepare Your Design: Create or select the design you want to sublimate. Print it on sublimation paper using sublimation ink.

2. Preheat the Heat Press: Set your heat press to the recommended temperature for PU leather, which at 180°C

3. Prepare the PU Leather: Clean the surface of the PU leather to ensure it’s free of dust and oils. This will help the sublimation ink adhere better.

4. Position the Design: Place the printed sublimation paper face down on the PU leather. Use heat-resistant tape to secure it in place ensuring that it does not go onto the item even with the print as it can show tape marks).

5. Protect the Leather: Place a piece of silicone paper over the sublimation paper to protect the item you are pressing and the heat press.

6. Check the Inner Seams: Ensure that the inner seams of the PU leather item are flat and do not interfere with the pressure. Uneven seams can affect the quality of the sublimation.

7. Press the Design Close the heat press and apply firm pressure for about 80 seconds. Make sure the entire design is covered and evenly pressed.

8. Remove the Paper: Carefully open the heat press and remove the silicone paper. Peel off the sublimation paper while it’s still warm.

9. Cool Down: Allow the PU leather to cool down completely before handling it.

And there you have it! Your PU leather item should now have a vibrant, permanent design.
