Equipment : Acrylic, Sublimer, Subli-acyrlic, Subli-Lux, Polymer & MDF Mould Press

R879.00

When heat pressing certain plastics like acrylic, subli-lux and polymer, it’s crucial to maintain their flat shape to avoid bending or warping. If you don’t have a spare press you can use place the acrylic into a press mould after heating. This can help keep it flat as it cools down. You can use this for regularAcrylic, Sublimer, Subli-Acrylic, Subli-Lux, Polymer & MDF (if the top coating has bubbled, placing it within this device makes them disappear).

To assemble the pressing machine, follow these steps:

  1. Attach Hinges: Place a hinge on either side of the machine and secure it in place with the screws provided.
  2. Secure Both Sides: Once both hinges are attached, ensure both sides are properly aligned and secured.
  3. Pressure Adjustment: Use the part of the machine that is designed to apply pressure. Adjust this part by skewing it up or down as needed to ensure the correct pressure is applied during operation.

To use the mould press effectively with your acrylic or any other plastic after sublimation, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the Mould Press Lid: Make sure the mould press lid is removed before you start.
  2. Immediate Transfer: Once the acrylic or plastic has been sublimated, promptly remove it from the heat press.
  3. Place in Mould Press: Quickly place the sublimated acrylic into the mould press.
  4. Remove Sublimation Paper: Remove the sublimation paper immediately.
  5. Secure the Lid: Put the mould press lid back on and secure it in place.
  6. Apply Pressure: Flip the pressure levers down to ensure the acrylic stays flat.
  7. Cooling Time: Leave the acrylic in the mould press for about 2 minutes or until it is completely cool.
  8. Check Shape: Once cooled, remove the acrylic from the mould press. It should have retained its flat shape.

This method ensures that your acrylic or plastic retains its shape and does not warp during the cooling process.
