Directions :-

As we are continuously testing these directions will be updated. We will be posting a video tutorial here soon (brief one above). We have tested on pine and bamboo without standing anything.

  1. Apply your stencil design using adhesive vinyl or stencil vinyl on the wood surface of your choice
  2. Bush a thin layer of the gel over the stencil design using a silicone brush, ensuring you are coating the wood. Less is more (as you will be wiping the excess off)
  3. Wipe any excess off, there must be no globs left behind
  4. Using a heat gun (1800w +) to start burning the gel on LOW heat, holding about 10 to 15cm away from the wood and move around in waving motion. Note the adhesive vinyl can start to bubble if to close.
  5. When it starts to turn light yellow/golden, stop blowing and remove the adhesive vinyl
  6. Repeat step 4, it will start to burn much darker, stop blowing when you have reached the desired effect

We will be trying our wood burning gel in a heat press (for thin wood only) and our mini heat iron and will report back on the results. We have had very little if no bleeds with our wood burning paste (pictures provided)
