Heat Press Instructions

For best sublimation results, follow the steps below:

  1. Preheat your heat press to 180°C.
  2. Lint roll the stocking thoroughly to remove any fluff, dust or loose fibres that may affect the finished print.
  3. Place silicone paper inside the stocking to help prevent the design from transferring through to the opposite side. Place another sheet of silicone paper over the stocking, then briefly pre-press to release any moisture from the fabric.
  4. Position and align your design carefully. Take note of any raised seams or edges, as these may cause uneven pressure and affect the transfer.
  5. Once positioned correctly, secure the transfer with heat-resistant tape to prevent movement during pressing.
  6. Cover the area with a clean sheet of silicone paper.
  7. Press at 180°C for 80 seconds.
  8. Once pressing is complete, carefully lift the press. The stocking and transfer paper will be very hot, so handle with care.
  9. Remove the heat tape and transfer paper, then reveal your personalised masterpiece!

Tip: Make sure the printable area lies as flat as possible on the heat press so raised seams do not interfere with even pressure.
