Production Time & Unforeseen Delays

Our silicone moulds are handmade to order, with an estimated production turnaround of 7–14 working days, excluding weekends, public holidays and courier transit time. This timeframe allows for silicone preparation, casting, curing, demoulding, trimming, finishing and quality inspections.

It also factors in possible unforeseen production delays, including manufacturing complications, equipment interruptions, additional finishing requirements and unexpected production issues. As each mould is individually manufactured, production times may vary depending on our current workload and circumstances beyond our control.

We prioritise careful manufacturing and quality rather than rushing the production process.

Please Note

  • Sold as a complete set of 3 separate silicone mould trays covering A–Z.
  • Finished gypsum or resin letters shown in product photographs are for demonstration purposes only and are not included.
  • Our moulds are manufactured using custom-designed, integrated 3D-printed masters.
  • Visible or faint 3D-printing layer lines, minor surface textures and small cosmetic imperfections should be expected. Certain integrated areas cannot be sanded or smoothed without affecting the design.
  • Our specialised silicone-processing equipment helps reduce trapped air, bubbles and pinholes, but a completely flawless finish cannot be guaranteed.
  • Minor variations in silicone edges, dimensions and surface appearance may occur due to handmade manufacturing.
  • Silicone colour may vary according to manufacturing batches and available materials.
  • Our master mould designs and manufacturing processes may be improved periodically, which may affect specifications, dimensions and pricing.
  • Production turnaround is approximately 7–14 working days, excluding delivery.
  • Some product photographs may have been enhanced or generated with AI assistance for presentation purposes. Actual product colours, appearance and finishes may vary.

*Epoxy/Resin Compatibility

  • Epoxy & Traditional Resin: These moulds have not been tested with epoxy or traditional casting resins. While they may be suitable for these materials, we cannot guarantee a flawless or high-gloss finish. Epoxy resin is far less forgiving than gypsum and tends to highlight even the smallest imperfections, including fine printing lines, surface textures and marks transferred from the negative silicone mould. Additional sanding, polishing or finishing of the completed resin casting may be required.
  • 3D-Printed Masters: Our silicone moulds are manufactured using custom 3D-printed masters. We take great care to minimise visible layer lines through preparation and smoothing wherever possible. However, some integrated areas cannot be sanded without affecting the design. Minor printing lines, surface textures and imperfections may remain and transfer to finished castings.
  • Handmade Finish: Each mould is individually manufactured, and slight variations in surface finish, silicone edges and dimensions should be expected. While we aim to produce the smoothest possible finish, completely flawless or mirror-gloss casting results cannot be guaranteed.

Proudly South African – Designed & Manufactured In-House

Our silicone moulds are designed and manufactured in-house using custom-developed, 3D-printed master moulds and specialised silicone-processing equipment. We take pride in developing our own products, focusing on durability, casting depth, flexibility, ease of demoulding and long-term usability.

Our Manufacturing Process – Quality Begins with the Master

Every silicone mould begins with a carefully designed 3D model developed specifically for silicone casting. Manufacturing the original three reusable alphabet master moulds involves approximately 14 hours and 29 minutes of 3D printing time alone.

This excludes design development, preparation, silicone processing, curing and finishing. Our process includes designing the models, 3D printing the masters, inspecting and preparing the surfaces, silicone casting, specialised air-reduction processing, curing, demoulding, trimming and final quality checks.

Integrated 3D-Printed Masters & Expected Surface Finish

Some of our master moulds incorporate integrated designs, making certain areas difficult or impossible to sand or smooth without affecting the original shape. As a result, visible 3D-printing layer lines, minor surface textures and slight imperfections are normal characteristics of our handmade silicone moulds.

These details may also transfer to finished gypsum or resin castings. Although we take care to minimise avoidable imperfections, a completely flawless, factory-machined finish cannot be guaranteed.

Specialised Equipment for Better Silicone Moulds

We use specialised silicone-processing equipment and manufacturing techniques to help minimise trapped air, bubbles, pinholes and avoidable surface imperfections. Our goal is to produce consistent, flexible and durable moulds suitable for repeated use when handled and maintained correctly.

Our equipment helps reduce air-related imperfections but cannot eliminate printing lines inherited from the original masters.

Quality Craftsmanship at a Fair Price

Our prices reflect our investment in product design, reusable 3D-printed masters, quality silicone, specialised equipment, labour and careful manufacturing. We do not compromise on our standards simply to compete with inexpensive, mass-produced alternatives.

We believe in charging fairly for the quality, craftsmanship and investment behind our products.

When purchasing from us, you are supporting a South African business that designs, develops and manufactures its own products.

Continuous Design Improvements

We continually review and improve our 3D-printed masters and silicone mould designs to enhance production efficiency, durability, quality and ease of demoulding. Our latest master designs include extended demoulding lips to assist with removing cured silicone during manufacturing.

We reserve the right to refine or upgrade our master mould designs, materials, dimensions and manufacturing processes without prior notice. These improvements may affect product specifications, measurements, production costs and pricing.

Care & Handling

To help prolong the life of your silicone moulds:

  • Handle carefully during demoulding to avoid excessive stretching or tearing.
  • Avoid sharp objects that may cut or damage the silicone.
  • Clean gently using methods suitable for your casting material.
  • Allow the moulds to dry completely before storage.
  • Store flat in a clean, cool area away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the moulds that could distort their shape.

The lifespan of your moulds will depend on the casting materials used, frequency of use, cleaning and handling.
