How to Sublimate Your Car Sunshade
- Pre-press the sunshade for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
- Allow it to cool slightly.
- Lint roll the printable surface thoroughly to remove dust, fibres, pet hair, and other contaminants that may affect print quality.
- Position your mirrored sublimation transfer face down onto the printable surface.
- Secure the transfer with heat-resistant tape.
- Cover with protective paper.
- Press at 180°C for 30 seconds using medium pressure.
- Remove from the heat press and carefully peel away the transfer paper.
- Allow to cool before fitting the suction cups and installing in the vehicle.
Recommended Settings
- Temperature: 180°C
- Time: 30 Seconds
- Pressure: Medium
Important Notes
- Always lint roll before pressing for the best results.
- Ensure your artwork is mirrored before printing.
- Sublimation only transfers onto the white printable polyester surface.
- Pressing times and temperatures may vary slightly depending on your equipment. Testing is recommended before production runs.
Tip: Because the sunshade is made from polyester mesh, lint and small fibres can sometimes become trapped in the surface. A quick lint roll before pressing helps produce cleaner, sharper sublimation results.
