How to Sublimate MDF Blocks
- Set Heat Press Settings:
- Temperature: 190°C
- Time: 90 seconds
- Pressure: Light to medium
- Prepare the Block:
- Remove the protective film carefully to avoid damaging the coating.
- Cover the substrate with silicone paper to protect it from heat and dirt during pressing.
- Ensure Even Pressure:
- Place a few layers of felt underneath the blocks to help distribute pressure evenly.
- Avoid Tape Marks:
- Prevent heat tape from touching the MDF and print directly.
- Use a protective barrier like silicone paper over both the design and MDF to further prevent marks.
- Safety Tip:
- When finished, the substrate will be extremely hot. Handle with care or use heat-resistant gloves for safety.
