Sublimation Heat Guide

Mug Press Method

  • Temperature: 190°C / 375°F
  • Pressing Time: 200 seconds

3D Vacuum Oven Method

  • Temperature: 190°C / 375°F
  • Pressing Time: 480 seconds

Oven Method Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C for approximately 15 minutes.
  2. Place a tray lined with silicone paper in the centre of the oven.
  3. Prepare your mug by securely attaching the sublimation print using heat tape.
  4. Attach and secure the silicone wrap firmly around the mug.
  5. Place the mug upside down onto the prepared tray in the preheated oven.
  6. Set the timer for approximately 12 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the mug using heat-resistant or welding gloves.
  8. Remove the sublimation paper while the mug is still warm.
  9. Allow the mug to cool naturally or place it into lukewarm water for faster cooling if required.

Important Notes

  • For best results, we recommend using a convection oven.
  • All ovens perform differently, so testing is recommended to determine the ideal timing and temperature for your setup.
  • When sublimating multiple mugs at once, additional time may be required. For example, if one mug takes 12 minutes, two mugs may require approximately 1 extra minute.
  • Similar to baking, larger batches require slightly longer heating times to ensure even results throughout.
  • Always perform your own testing to achieve the best possible outcome for your equipment and workflow.
